Homie Erectus
Homie Erectus is a Rock n Roll band based out of Santa Barbara,
California. Original members include rhythm guitar player and lead
vocalist Joey Enthoven and lead guitar player Dave Esquer, who
originally formed the band. Rob “Jerzey” Boileau, who plays bass, and
Matt Lopez, who plays drums, were later added to complete the band. Homie Erectus currently consists of Joey Enthoven, Dave Esquer, Matt Lopez, and Dave McPeters. All
members of Homie Erectus have been involved in music for the past
decade - some even longer. Homie Erectus builds on the experience Joey,
Dave, and Matt had working together in previous bands such as, Entoven
and Suburban Crisis.
Homie Erectus brings insatiable rock riffs with simple yet consistent drumbeats that mesh well with the bass lines of Boileau. Soaring leads filled with peaks and valleys accompany most tracks with echoes of reference to many classic rock bands. Vocalist Joey Enthoven, creates a raw, aggressive vocal sound while still maintaining underlying talk tracks, melodies, and harmonies that fill the song to capacity.
The current discography of Homie Erectus consists of a 3-track demo released in 2008 and a full-length 11-track album released in February of 2009. “I Got a Reputation”, off their 2008 demo, was featured on Santa Barbara’s modern rock radio station 92.9 KJEE as pick of the week for a local band. Their most current release, “American Homiecide”, is their most impressive work to date. By producing the album from start to finish they were able to create music that completely captured their unique musical vision. -Self Described
“American Homiecide” can be purchased on iTunes worldwide, Amazon Mp3, Rhapsody, and Snocap.
