Cuervo Luciano

Raised on the WestSide of Detroit and Brooklyn,NYC, Cuervo Luciano, has been putting it down for years. This, 25 year old Lyricist/Poet (CHECK OUT HIS BLOG'S AT MYSAPCE.COM/CUERVOLUCIANO TO READ SOME HIS POEMS), is an example of the talent that can emerge from the darkest corner of the slums. As a reputable figure on the streets of Fenkell Avenue, and a founding member of the Fenkell Boys Family, 62'ce, Cuervo is no stranger to street life. As a youngster he did what many other teenagers chose to do, live the street life. Which later landed him in a Federal Correctional Facility. Cuay got involved in a large street war with his rivals, The Village Boys (Vice Lords). This, was the battle in which he almost lost his life, when a gunman opened fire on him with a .22 caliber rifle, hitting him 16 times throughout his body. In 2000, after being released from Federal Supervision, and not wanting to push his luck anymore, Cuay bid farewell to the city that he once felt he would die for, Cuay felt the the calling to pursue his music career. With the help of his fellow B.O.S. Inc. brothers, Cuay began work on his solo debut EP, "Journey Through My Life." Which was produced by his cousin, Lucky Luciano (now deceased), and was enginereed by Dean Hooper, of the infamous D-Z5. As for the lyrics, Cuervo handled that well. So well, that he landed a deal with JaHMa Entertainment, in 2002. A well respected Indie Label in Las Vegas. However this relationship wouldn't last long, due to quarrels between Cuay and label head, Kenneth Bosket. After releasing another solo EP, in June 2005, "Desert Rose," Cuay found himself alone. With his cousin now deceased, and ties with Dean severed due to money issues, Cuervo found himself at a crossroads. Then in October 2005, while in a smoke shop, Cuay stumbled upon a stairway to his dream. Cuay began small-talk with a man by the name of, Alejo Moreno from Skyysent Records. Cuervo told Lex about his music. Lex, thinking cuay was full of it, called his bluff and asked to hear his EP. Upon listening to the "Desert Rose," Lex was extremely impressed with cuay's deliverance and style. The two immediately began working on Cuay's solo debut, next summers, long awaited LP, "Project Gold." The prediction from insiders in the recording industry, who heard some of the cuts on the album, was that it's quite possible................... Project Gold would go Platinum! But industry politics took over the campaign, and Cuervo bounced on the deal. He took his masters, and headed off on his own, again. He decided to take a break from the world for a while, and went back into the life. "Back in the streets, things were different. Everybody was on they own, bumping heads, and getting into brawls." Cuervo discussed with his comrades during a session, long ago in Las Vegas. " Nigga's was snitching, and robbin' they man, the hood was hot....but nigga's gotta eat! I feel that struggle, but I don't honor family, beefing with family. That ain't loyalty, that's dishonor." Cuervo explains that," with that in mind, I moved out of the hood to hustle. And moved to the Strip Clubs, and macking the dancers...." Cuervo had fallen back into his, Game Oriented Ways, as he calls them. Everything was going good, until Cuervo noticed that he was being followed one day. The strange car, turned out to Las Vegas' finest, and Cuervo was arrested. Faced with jail time, Cuervo got a smart idea, from his lawyer. His Defense Lawyer, told him to attempt to join the military, and he could beat the case. Cuervo thought long and hard, then one day decided, that the military would do him some justice. He then enlisted, in the United States Army. While fighting for his country,, Cuervo still found time to write. He decided to keep a good percentage, of the rhymes he made with Skyysent. Blending them with new tracks, and  to create an album called,    " DEDICATED." This album, is a mixture of Cuervo before the military, during the military, and after the military. Cuervo walks you through a 3 year time span, in which his life was impacted deeply. From war in the streets, to war for real. Cuervo delivers a great display of lyrical madness. He brings along with him, his newly assembled squad, The Affiliated Bosses, to reek havoc on th airwaves. First chance that they get...
